Stockholm World Water Week

Water for Sustainable and Inclusive Cities - How to Induce Change?

This year’s Stockholm World Water Week will take place from 28 August – 2 September 2016. The overarching theme aims to address “Water for Sustainable Growth”.

GWOPA has joined hands with Global Water Partnership, Stockholm international Water Institute, the World Bank Group and the Water Environment Federation to host a full day Seminar on water in the urban environment. Seminar 5: Water for Sustainable and Inclusive Cities will look at new approaches to urban water management and service delivery in practice, and talk with decision makers about how to make sustainable and inclusive water services a reality in our increasingly urban world.

This pivotal event provides a unique forum for the exchange of views, experiences and practices between the scientific, business, policy and civic communities. It focuses on new thinking and positive action toward water-related challenges and their impact on the world’s environment, health, climate, economic and poverty reduction agendas.

We encourage you to join GWOPA in this topical seminar on Thursday, 1st September from 9 a.m. in FH300.
