Study on the water-spreading weirs which have been implemented as a rehabilitation technique for degraded dry valleys in Burkina Faso, Niger, and Chad. Parting from the problem of the degradation of drainage basins in the Sahel Region as result of climate change, the document provides information on the development and sustainability of water-spreading weirs, the organizational aspects, and success factors and challenges.
