GWOPA is happy to welcome Mr. Mouhamed Fadel Ndaw as the new WOP-Africa coordinator. WOP-Africa is the African regional platform for WOPs and is a sub-program of AfWA (African Water Association). Mr. Ndaw joined WOP-Africa on the 1st of October and will be shortly posted in Johannesburg, where the local water provider RandWater has generously offered to host the platform.
Mr. Ndaw, 55 years old, is a national of Senegal. He has 26 years of experience as an expert in the water and sanitation sector both in urban and rural areas. Holding a Master Degree in Engineering of the National School for Water and Environment of Strasbourg, France (ENGEES) in 1984, he began his career in Senegal in the largest Senegalese Consultancy firm (SONED/AFRICA). Within this institution, he exerted during ten years as a study engineer and finally as the Head of the Water Division.
From 1997 to 2004, Mr. NDAW has been the Coordinator of the Water Sector Project (PSE) and the long-term water sector Project (PLT) and special adviser to the different Ministers in charge of water in Senegal.

With his experience of the African water sector and his numerous connections with African water professionals, it goes without saying that Mr. Ndaw will develop further the WOP-Africa program and will promote the WOP practice across the continent.
