4th GWOPA SC Meeting in Amsterdam

GWOPA has organized its 4th Steering Committee Meeting on the 1st of November in Amsterdam on the occasion of the International Water Week Amsterdam. Photos are available on the Pipeline.

The agenda items included; 1) Report of GWOPA Activity 2010-2011 including activity by regional/national platforms, 2) Upgraded website, 3) TOR of Integrity Sub Committee, 4) Work Plan, 5) Call for expression of interest in hosting GWOPA Secretariat and 6) How to enhancing SC members' involvement in GWOPA activity. |
Major agreed/discussion points from the meeting are the following;
- Reaffirmed the importance of participation and inclusiveness at different level of the GWOPA network,
- Agreed with the revised TOR of Integrity Sub Committee was adopted on the basis that the committee should focus on the non-for-profit principle yet will be able to make constructive recommendations to the broader steering committee on application of other principles such as inclusiveness,
- Agreed that SC members will support the GWOPA Secretariat in populating its upgraded website by linking the Secretariat with their partners, and
- Approved that the GWOPA Secretariat will start "Call for expression of interest in hosting the GWOPA Secretariat" soon.

GWOPA Secretariat also participated in the WOPs Conference - Each one teach one at the International Water Week Amsterdam organized by the World Waternet and led the one workshop on the incentives for WOPs.
